Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 715046  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolts (2) that retain the instrument panel center support bracket to the steering column bracket (1).
  2. Remove the bolt (3) that retains the reinforcement to the instrument panel center support bracket.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the illuminated entry module.
  4. Remove the instrument panel center support bracket (4).

  5. Object Number: 264918  Size: SH
  6. Remove the illuminated entry module retainer (3).
  7. Remove the illuminated entry module (2) from the instrument panel center support bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 264918  Size: SH
  1. Install the illuminated entry module (2) to the instrument panel center support bracket.
  2. Install the illuminated entry module retainer (3).
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the illuminated entry module.

  4. Object Number: 715046  Size: SH
  5. Install the instrument panel center support bracket (4).
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the bolt (3) that retains the reinforcement to the instrument panel center support bracket.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the bolts (2) that retain the instrument panel center support bracket to the steering column bracket (1).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 65 N·m (47 lb ft).
