Grille Replacement Base

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 277565  Size: SH
  1. Remove the parking lamps and the side markers from the upper grille.
  2. Remove the screws (5, 6) holding the upper grille (4) to the vehicle.
  3. Remove the screw holding the upper grille to the latch support.
  4. Remove the screws holding the upper grille to the radiator support.
  5. Unsnap the upper grille from the filler panel and the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Snap the upper grille and the filler panel into place.
  2. Install the filler panel to the vehicle with the bolts.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screws (5, 6) holding the upper grille to the radiator support.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the upper grille screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  6. Install the screw holding the upper grille to the latch support.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the upper grille screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the parking lamps and the side markers.

Grille Replacement Lower

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 277567  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper radiator grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .
  2. Remove the five screws that retain the lower grille to the core support.
  3. Remove the three screws in each front fender well that retains the lower grille to the fender extension.
  4. Remove the lower grille from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower grille.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the three screws in each front fender well in order to retain lower grille to the fender extension.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the grille screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the five screws that retain lower grille to the core support.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the grille screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the upper radiator grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .

Grille Replacement Luxury

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove park/turn lamp assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  2. Object Number: 311552  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts holding the grille (5) to radiator outer bracket.
  4. Remove the screw (6) holding the grille to the center bracket.
  5. Remove the screws (3) holding the grille to the radiator support.
  6. Remove the grille from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the grille to the vehicle.
  2. Install the screws (3) holding the grille to the radiator support.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screw holding the grille to the radiator support.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the grille screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the screws (6) holding the grille to the center bracket.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the grille screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the screws (5) holding the grill to the radiator outer bracket.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the grille screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
