Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the windshield washer system container. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement.
2. Place the washer container on a bench top and secure.
3. Using two flat-bladed tools, pry gently upward on the pump in order to disengage the pump from the washer container grommet.
4. Discard the grommet.

Tip
Use full strength windshield washer solvent for a lubricant on the pump spout in order to ease the installation of the new washer pump into the new grommet.
