High Pitch Hum Buzz Noise On Acceleration - keywords accel cold compartment engine exhaust fender front heat hi hot left loose mount rattle rpm shield vibration

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some owners may comment of a high pitch hum, buzz or vibration type noise during acceleration. This noise may be heard coming from the left front engine compartment. The left engine mount heat shield may be vibrating creating the noise.

To correct this noise slightly bend/adjust the front surface of the heat shield with a pair of pliers. This will slightly crease the shield stopping it from vibrating.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
