J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

1. Remove the door lock knob (1) by turning it counterclockwise.



2. Using a flat-bladed plastic tool and gently pry to remove the door handle bezel.



3. Remove the pull handle bezel fastener.



4. Remove the pull handle bezel.



5. Remove the 2 fasteners that retain the door trim panel to the door.
6. Use the J 38778 to release the plastic retainers around the door trim panel.



7. Lift up on the door trim panel to disengage the door trim panel clips to the door structure.



8. Disconnect the electrical connector.
9. Remove the door trim panel from the vehicle.

1. Connect the electrical connector (1).



2. Install the door trim panel to the door structure.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




3. Install the door trim panel fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




4. Install the pull handle bezel.



5. Install the pull handle bezel fastener.

Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




6. Install the door handle bezel to the door trim panel.



7. Install the door lock knob (1) by turning the knob clockwise.
