Did you perform the DRL System Check?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

  1. Connect a scan tool to the vehicle.
  2. Perform the Body Control Module Diagnostic System Check. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System. Return to this step if the system check reports System Normal.
  3. Select Body Control Module.
  4. Read the Ambient Light status.

Does the Ambient Light display show the specified value?

DARK

Go to Step 3

  1. Select Body Control Module.
  2. Read the Auto Headlamps Enabled status.
  3. Ensure that the park brake is not applied.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the Auto Headlamps Enabled display show the specified value?

YES

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 103 (WHT) between the BCM and the underhood fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

  1. Cover the ambient light sensor. Ensure that no light reaches the sensor.
  2. Select Body Control Module.
  3. Read the Ambient Light status.

Does the Ambient Light display show the specified value?

DARK
