Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 10857  Size: SH
  1. Remove the purge valve electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 10858  Size: SH
  3. Remove the hoses to the purge valve.

  4. Object Number: 10859  Size: SH
  5. Remove the purge valve from the mounting bracket.

  6. Object Number: 10860  Size: SH
  7. When replacing the bracket, remove the purge valve mounting bracket attaching nut.

  8. Object Number: 10861  Size: SH
  9. Remove the purge valve mounting bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 10860  Size: SH
  1. Install the purge valve mounting bracket and the attaching nut.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the purge valve mounting bracket attaching nut to 6-10 N·m (53-88 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Slide the purge valve into the mounting bracket.

  4. Object Number: 10858  Size: SH
  5. Install the hoses to the purge valve.

  6. Object Number: 10857  Size: SH
  7. Install the valve electrical connector.
