TIRE COMPANY WARRANTY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Subject: TIRE COMPANY WARRANTY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

Model and Year: 1981-92 ALL PASSENGER CARS AND TRUCKS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND SUPERSEDES DEALER SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 90-75-3E, DATED OCTOBER 1989. THE 1991 AND 1992 MODEL YEARS HAVE BEEN ADDED. ALL COPIES OF 90-75-3E SHOULD BE DISCARDED.

All tire companies that supply tires to GM have developed warranty assistance programs and now offer national toll-free phone numbers for GM dealers in need of tire assistance. These numbers may be used to order tires, for technical information, tire warranty questions, tire dealer locations, etc. Of course, current tire adjustment procedures should continue through local tire outlets as in the past.

Since each tire company program varies slightly in content, it is suggested that specific details be obtained from the appropriate tire manufacturer whenever assistance is required.

Before calling, all pertinent dealer, customer, vehicle and tire information should be available.

Michelin 1-800-433-6838

Goodyear 1-800-321-2136

General 1-800-847-3349 (1 -800-426-4889 in Ohio)

Uniroyal-Goodrich 1-800-231-5893 (dealer assistance)

We urge you to use these toll free numbers and warranty assistance programs, whenever necessary, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
