Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 432055  Size: SH
  1. Remove the IP and instrument lamp dimmer switch knob (1).
  2. Remove the IP lamp dimmer switch nut (2) from the IP lamp dimmer switch.

  3. Object Number: 432059  Size: SH
  4. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the 4 clips around the lamp dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (2).

  5. Object Number: 432061  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the dimmer switch electrical connector (2).
  7. Remove the dimmer switch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 432061  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the IP lamp dimmer switch to the lamp dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (3). Secure the dimmer switch with the retaining nut.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch retaining nut to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  3. Connect the dimmer switch electrical connector (2).
  4. Install the dimmer switch/remote control rearview mirror switch trim plate (3) to the I/P. Ensure that the 4 retaining clips are fully engaged.

  6. Install the lamp dimmer switch knob (1) to the dimmer switch.
