Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 621681  Size: SH
  1. Remove the 2 fasteners.
  2. Remove the 2 plastic retainers.
  3. Remove the engine cover (1) from the engine.

  4. Object Number: 181686  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the CMP electrical connector (3).
  6. Remove the one CMP sensor hold-down bolt (2).
  7. Remove the CMP sensor (1) from the cylinder head.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 181686  Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor (1) into the cylinder head.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the one CMP sensor hold-down bolt (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hold-down bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the CMP electrical connector (3).

  6. Object Number: 621681  Size: SH
  7. Install the engine cover (1).
  8. Secure the engine cover (1) with the 2 fasteners.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 fasteners to 8.8 N·m (77 lb in).

  10. Install the 2 plastic retainers.
