Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 417486  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt (2) which secures the windshield washer solvent container (1). Position the solvent container aside in order to gain access to the washer pump electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 417488  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector (1).
  4. Disconnect the washer hose (3) from the washer pump (2).

  5. Object Number: 417490  Size: SH
  6. Drain the washer solvent.
  7. Remove the washer solvent container (1) from the vehicle.
  8. Remove the washer pump (2) from the washer solvent container (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 417490  Size: SH
  1. Install the windshield washer pump (2) to the windshield washer solvent container (1).

  2. Object Number: 417488  Size: SH
  3. Connect the washer hose (3) to the washer pump (2).
  4. Connect the washer pump electrical connector (1).

  5. Object Number: 417486  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the windshield washer solvent container (1) to the vehicle. Secure the container with 1 bolt (2).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the washer solvent container bolt to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).

  8. Fill the washer solvent container (1) with washer solvent.
