Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1290887 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice .
  3. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  4. Place a drip pan under the hoses to catch the fluid that will run out of the lines.
  5. Remove the bolt from the oil cooler outlet pipe at the right lower side of the radiator.
  6. Remove the bolt from the outlet pipe bracket.

  7. Remove the bolt from the outlet pipe on the transaxle side.
  8. Remove the outlet pipe assembly.

    9. Object Number: 1290910 Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt from the oil cooler inlet pipe at the left lower side of the radiator.

    10. Object Number: 1290920 Size: SH
  10. Remove the bolt from the inlet pipe at the transaxle side.
  11. Remove the inlet pipe assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1290944 Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet pipe assembly and the assembly bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the inlet pipe bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  2. Install the outlet pipe assembly and the assembly bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the outlet pipe bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Refill the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Draining .
  4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
