Circuit Description

The BCM ground circuits provide ground for the 2 Theater Dimming systems for interior lamps, BTSI solenoid, BCM electronics and the door locks.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The BCM Electronics ground must be connected to ground.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The BCM detects that any of its ground circuits are greater than 4 volts for longer than 300 milliseconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The interior lamps do not function correctly.
    • The brake-transmission safety interlock may not function correctly.
    • The door lock features may not operate correctly,
    • The BCM stores DTC B1349 in memory.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
    • A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold, without a repeat of the malfunction.
