Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 669537  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
  5. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the EVAP canister purge valve.

  6. Object Number: 576032  Size: SH
  7. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve retaining bolt.
  8. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 576032  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Position the EVAP canister purge valve on the intake manifold and install the retainer bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the EVAP canister purge valve retaining bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe and the vacuum supply hose.
  4. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.
