Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Object Number: 293198 Size: SH
  2. Remove the rear bolt from the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the front wheelhouse.
  3. Remove the bolts from the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.
  4. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 293198 Size: SH
  1. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the upper tie bar and the front wheel house.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace bolts to the upper tie bar.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the front end sheet metal diagonal brace front bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear bolt to the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the front wheelhouse.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front end sheet metal diagonal brace rear bolt to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  4. Close the hood.
