Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  3. Set the wiper switch to OFF.
  4. Measure the voltage from wiper motor connector C1, terminal B, to ground using a J39200.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15 volts

Go to Step 3

Inspect for a short to voltage condition in CKT 91.

Is a short to voltage present?

Repair the short circuit to voltage in CKT 91.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column -Tilt.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector C2.
  2. Measure the voltage from wiper motor connector C2, terminal A, to ground using a J39200.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15 volts
