Repair the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Replace the accessory switch. Refer to Accessory Switch Replacement .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the accessory switch connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Connect a 5 amp fused jumper between the accessory switch harness connector terminal C and ground.

Does the odometer display still show TRIP?

Inspect the system for a poor connection or an open in CKT 717.
