For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Install the new gasket to the engine block.
  2. Install the coolant pump.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Secure the coolant pump with mounting nuts and bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant pump mounting nuts and bolts to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  6. Install new rubber seals (1) to the coolant pump (2).
  7. Install the upper generator adjusting bracket to the coolant pump (one bolt).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper generator mounting bracket bolt to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
