Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1777208 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1799951 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the air cleaner cover screws (1).
  4. Remove the air cleaner cover from the housing.
  5. Remove and discard the air filter assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1799951 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW air filter assembly.
  2. Insert the air cleaner cover tabs into the air cleaner housing.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Tighten the air cleaner cover screws (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAF/IAT sensor.
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
