Preliminary Procedure

Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement.

Spoiler Assembly Nut (Qty: 6)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
Tighten 6 N·m (53 lb in)

Rear Spoiler Assembly

Procedure

1. Use a heat gun to assist in the release and removal of the adhesive tape seal at each fastener stud location.
2. Clean all adhesive residue from the rear compartment lid.
3. Wipe the rear compartment lid with a clean dry lint-free towel prior to installation of the rear spoiler.
4. Remove the adhesive liners from the bottom side of the rear spoiler.
5. Do not touch the adhesive tape with hands or allow the adhesive tape to come in contact with any dirt or foreign matter.
6. Position the studs on the spoiler to the locating holes in the rear compartment lid.
7. Lift the rear compartment lid to the open position.
8. Secure the six nuts as previously stated.
