Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1839426 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the intake manifold tuning valve.
  3. Unbolt and reposition the power steering pump reservoir bracket.

  4. Remove the intake manifold tuning valve bolts.
  5. Remove the intake manifold tuning valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1839938 Size: SH
  1. Lubricate the intake manifold tuning valve O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in.
  4. Position the power steering pump reservoir bracket and install the bolts and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the intake manifold tuning valve.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
