Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
  2. Remove the right closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Remove the communications interface module. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the OnStar module bracket. Refer to Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the recirculation actuator electrical connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)

Tip

    •  Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control assembly while the HVAC control assembly and actuators are calibrating. If interrupted improper HVAC performance will result.
    • Refer to Control Module References for programming and set up information.
