Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2007 🢒 Malibu 🢒 General Information 🢒 General Information 🢒 Powertrain Mount Balance - Lower Mount

Important: Follow the balance procedure in the order listed in the following steps. Powertrain mounts must be tightened in sequence.


    Object Number: 1578541 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Loosen, but DO NOT REMOVE the front transmission mount through bolt.

    3. Object Number: 1578542 Size: SH
  3. Loosen, but DO NOT REMOVE the rear transmission mount through bolt.
  4. Rock the powertrain vigorously from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Tighten the rear transmission mount through bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft).

  6. Tighten the front transmission mount through bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
