Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.

    2. Object Number: 1506504 Size: SH

    Important: Removal of the right or the left inflatable restraint side impact module wiring harness uses the same procedure.

  2. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact module from the seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement.

    3. With the seat back panel removed, the inflatable restraint side impact module wiring harness (1) will be exposed.

  3. Remove the clips that fasten the side impact module wiring harness (1) to the seat.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1506504 Size: SH
  1. Install the new side impact module wiring harness (1) to the seat.
  2. Install the retaining clips that fasten the side impact module wiring harness (1) to the seat.
  3. Install the side impact module to the seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement.
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
