The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers with U1C radio option may report the Clock Resets to 12:00 and temperature units changes to Deg C when rest of vehicle is in English Units. Furthermore, the concern may not be able to be duplicated and a diagnostic probe with the Tech 2 may find no current and/or history DTCs. The customer might report a loss of time instead of a reset to 12:00 because they didn't notice when the clock resets to 12:00. The units change may also not be noticed because it is corrected when ignition cycled.

Recommendation/Instructions:

New software has been developed for this condition. First check the power and ground feeds to the Radio for proper terminal tension. If the power and ground terminals check out good, then replace the radio with an exchange unit from your local authorized ESC.

To make sure you have an updated radio you need to look at the label for the following: The remaned label will be marked with a letter "A " on the bottom lower right corner (under the far right bar code) of the part number sticker.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
