Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 236793 Size: MH
  1. Remove the driver side sound insulator.
  2. Remove the electrical connection.
  3. Remove the brake switch  (3), by grasping the brake switch and turning it 90 degrees counterclockwise while pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 165309 Size: SH
  1. Insert the stop lamp switch (3) into the retainer until the switch body is seated on the retainer.

    2. Object Number: 240492 Size: SH
  2. Pull the brake pedal upward against the internal pedal stop.
  3. Turn the switch 90 degrees clockwise in order to lock the switch into position.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Adjust the stop lamp switch (3). Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
  6. Install the driver's side sound insulator.
