Removal Procedure


Object Number: 157625  Size: SH

Important: Do not seperate the intake duct and the resonator duct joint connection. The joint is made when the intake duct is hot and shrinkes over the resonator duct.

  1. Remove the left front headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  2. Object Number: 157623  Size: SH
  3. Remove the air cleaner intake duct screw (2).
  4. Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  5. Raise the vehicle.
  6. Remove the LF tire and the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Suspension.
  7. Remove the LF wheel house panels. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.

  9. Remove the 3 resonator attaching fasteners (1).

  10. Object Number: 102619  Size: SH
  11. Remove the intake duct attaching nut.

  12. Object Number: 102626  Size: SH
  13. Remove the duct and resonator assembly through the wheel house opening.

Installation Procedure

Important: Verify the full engagement of the air cleaner intake duct resonator assembly to the air cleaner inlet.

  1. Install the duct and resonator assembly through the wheel house opening.

  2. Object Number: 102619  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the duct attaching nut.
  4. Tighten
    Duct attaching nut to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Install the 3 resonator attaching fasteners (1).
  6. Install the LF wheel house panels. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Install the LF tire and the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Suspension.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  10. Install the air cleaner intake duct screw (2).
  11. Tighten
    Air cleaner intake duct screw to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  12. Install the left front headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
