Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner outlet resonator and the air cleaner assembly.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws.
- Disconnect the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the throttle body.
- Disconnect the crankcase vent hose from the air cleaner outlet resonator.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator from the throttle body.
Installation Procedure
- Install the crankcase vent hose to the air cleaner outlet resonator.
- Install the air cleaner outlet resonator to the throttle body.
- Install the air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws.
- Tighten the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the throttle body.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner outlet resonator and the air cleaner assembly.
- Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps.
- Install the intake air temperature sensor electrical connector.
Important: Be sure the air cleaner outlet resonator seals to the throttle body.
Tighten
Air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws to 10 N·m
(88 lb in)

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
