Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 72299  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 102569  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps.

  4. Object Number: 102574  Size: SH
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner outlet resonator and the air cleaner assembly.

  6. Object Number: 103274  Size: SH
  7. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws.

  8. Object Number: 103275  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the throttle body.
  10. Disconnect the crankcase vent hose from the air cleaner outlet resonator.

  11. Object Number: 103276  Size: SH
  12. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator from the throttle body.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankcase vent hose to the air cleaner outlet resonator.
  2. Important: Be sure the air cleaner outlet resonator seals to the throttle body.

  3. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator to the throttle body.
  4. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws.
  5. Tighten
    Air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in)

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Tighten the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the throttle body.
  7. Tighten
    Air cleaner outlet resonator clamp to 5 N·m (44 lb in)

  10. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps.
  11. Tighten
    Air cleaner outlet resonator clamp to 5 N·m (44 lb in)
