Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

    Important: The seat memory seat module and seat interface module (MSM and SIM) are an integral part of the seat system and should only be replaced as a complete assembly.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  4. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  5. Remove the front seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors as required.

  8. Unclip the cable tray from the seat adjuster.

  10. Pull the cable tray forward to release it from the seat adjuster.

  11. Object Number: 1943624  Size: SH
  12. Using a 5mm drill bit drill out the pop rivet, (1) in two places, securing the memory seat module to the cable tray.
  13. Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM), which is located on the memory seat module.

  15. Remove the wiring harness from the cable tray by squeezing the tabs on the harness clips (1) and by removing the tape (2).

Installation Procedure

    Important: Ensure the wiring harness is install as per removal.

  1. Install the wiring harness to the cable tray and secure installing the wiring harness clip (1) listen fir an audible click to confirm fitting.
  2. Install tape around the wiring harness.
  3. Align the memory seat module with the cable tray.
  4. Using a universal pop rivet gun and pop rivets secure the memory seat module to the cable tray.
  5. Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM).
  6. Align the memory seat module with the cable tray.
  7. Using a universal pop rivet gun and pop rivets secure the memory seat module to the cable tray.
  8. Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM).

  10. Push the cable tray onto the seat adjuster backwards to secure it to the seat adjuster.

  11. Object Number: 1943635  Size: SH
  12. Clip the cable tray to the seat adjuster.
  13. Connect the wiring harness connectors as required.
  14. Install the front seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .
  15. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  16. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  17. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  18. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  19. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  20. If re-programming is required. Refer to Control Module References .
  21. Test the seat for correct mechanical and electrical operation.
