Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1954161  Size: SH
  1. Inspect the sprockets for correct alignment. The mark on the camshaft sprocket (1) should be located in the 6 o'clock position and the mark on the crankshaft sprocket (2) should be located in the 12 o'clock position.

  2. Object Number: 1954214  Size: SH

    Notice: Do not turn the crankshaft assembly after the timing chain has been removed in order to prevent damage to the piston assemblies or the valves.

  3. Remove the camshaft sprocket bolt (1).
  4. Remove the camshaft sprocket (2) and timing chain (3).

  5. Object Number: 1954154  Size: SH
  6. Remove the timing chain tension bolts (1) and tensioner (2).

  7. Object Number: 1954156  Size: SH
  8. Using the J 41816-2 (1), the J 41558 (2), bolts (3) and the J 8433-1 1 (4) in order to remove the crankshaft sprocket.

  9. Object Number: 1954158  Size: SH
  10. Remove the crankshaft sprocket (1).

  11. Object Number: 1954159  Size: SH
  12. Remove the crankshaft sprocket key (1), if required.
