Revised Manual Transmission Oil Level Inspect and Fill Procedure (V8) (Middle East)

This bulletin is being published to advise technicians of a change in the manual transmission oil fill procedure effective with the 2007 model year and later MM6 and M12 transmission.

Previous model years required the oil fill level to be maintained at 0.5L above the filler plug via the reverse light switch.

When inspecting or filling the transmission with oil, clean the threads of the filler plug and apply sealant Loctite 565, or equivalent, then reinstall the filler plug and tighten to 28 N·m (20 lb ft).
