Removal Procedure

  1. Unscrew and remove the antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .
  2. Tilt the hood assembly forward to access the antenna base.

  3. Object Number: 808096  Size: SH
  4. Remove the antenna base mounting fasteners.

  5. Object Number: 823462  Size: SH
  6. Remove the passenger side knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Disconnect the fixed antenna base cable connector from the antenna cable.
  8. Push the fixed antenna base cable grommet through the bulkhead.
  9. Remove the fixed antenna base from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 823462  Size: SH
  1. Install the fixed antenna base to the vehicle.
  2. Install the fixed antenna base cable through the bulkhead and seat the grommet.
  3. Connect the fixed antenna base cable to the antenna cable.
  4. Install the passenger side knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  5. Object Number: 808096  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the antenna base mounting fasteners.
  7. Tighten

        • Tighten the antenna base mounting bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
        • Tighten the antenna base mounting nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  8. Install the antenna mast.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the mast to 5.5 N·m (49  lb in).
