Fuel Level Sensor Replacement Mid Mounted

1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
2. Disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector (1) from the sender electrical connector.
3. Remove the fuel level sensor wires from the retainers (3) on the sender bucket.
4. Push down on the locking tang (2) in order to allow the sensor to be removed.



5. Slide the fuel level sensor down out of the sender bucket rails.

1. Position the fuel level sensor and slide the sensor up into the sender bucket rails.



2. Push down on the locking tang (2) and continue sliding the sensor up until the sensor reaches the stop. Release the locking tang.
3. Install the fuel level sensor wires to the retainers (3) on the sender bucket.
4. Connect the fuel level sensor electrical connector (1) to the sender electrical connector.
5. Install the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
