Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 816302  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Support the transmission with safety stands.
  3. Remove the transmission mount to rear frame mount nuts.

  4. Object Number: 816259  Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission support mount to transmission nuts .
  6. Remove the transmission mount.

  7. Object Number: 816303  Size: SH
  8. Remove the transmission support frame mount to frame nuts .
  9. Remove the transmission support frame mounts.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 816303  Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission frame support mounts.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the transmission frame support mounts nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission frame mounts to frame nuts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  5. Install the transmission support.
  6. Install the transmission support to transmission nuts .
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission support to transmission nuts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  8. Install the transmission support to rear frame mount nuts
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission support mount to rear frame mount nuts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  10. Remove the safety stands from the transmission.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
