Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1986964 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the engine harness connector (9) from the throttle body (10).
  2. Remove the PCV hose assembly bolt (2).
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement

    4. Important: Note the location of the bolts for installation.

  4. Remove the throttle body bolts (6, 7).
  5. Remove the throttle body (10) and gasket (11). Discard the gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1986964 Size: SH

    Important: the bolts must be installed in the same location as during removal.

  1. Install the throttle body bolts (6, 7) and a new gasket (11) to the throttle body (10).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the throttle body and gasket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 24 N·m (17 lb ft).

  3. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
  4. Install the PCV hose assembly bolt (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the engine harness connector (9) to the throttle body (10).
