Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1867162 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement.
  3. Remove the glow plug nut(s) (1).
  4. Remove the engine wiring harness lead(s) from the glow plug(s).

    5. Object Number: 1867163 Size: SH
  5. Remove the glow plug(s).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1867163 Size: SH
  1. Install the glow plug(s).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the plug to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1867162 Size: SH
  2. Install the engine wiring harness lead(s) to the glow plug(s).
  3. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement.
  4. Install the glow plug harness nut(s) (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
