Exhaust Particulate Filter Rear Cooler Pipe Replacement With LF8

1. Remove the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe bracket nuts (2).
2. Remove the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe (3) from the vehicle.
3. Transfer any parts as needed.

1. Position the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe (3) to the vehicle.
2. Align the fuel line bracket (1) to the frame.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe bracket nuts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

Exhaust Particulate Filter Rear Cooler Pipe Replacement LMM

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe to particulate filter nuts.
3. Remove the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe hanger from the insulator.
4. Remove and discard the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe to particulate filter gasket.

1. Install a NEW gasket onto the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe studs.
2. Install the exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe hanger to the insulator.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the exhaust particulate filter to exhaust particulate filter rear cooler pipe nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

4. lower the vehicle.
