Center Intake Manifold Replacement LMM

1. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor No. 2.



3. Remove 6 center intake manifold bolts (1).
4. Remove 2 center intake manifold nuts (2).
5. Remove the center intake manifold.
6. Remove and discard the center intake manifold gaskets.
7. If replacing the center intake manifold, remove the IAT sensor. Refer to Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 2 Replacement.

1. If the center intake manifold was replaced, install the IAT sensor No. 2. Refer to Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 2 Replacement.
2. Install NEW center intake manifold gaskets to the intake.
3. Install the center intake manifold.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Note: The center intake manifold lower nuts MUST be installed and tightened first.

4. Install the center intake manifold lower 2 nuts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

5. Install the center intake manifold upper 6 bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).




6. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the IAT sensor No. 2.
7. Install the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.
