Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 741991 Size: SH
  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  2. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt at the power steering pump, if necessary.
  3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley from the power steering pump, if necessary.

    4. Object Number: 742960 Size: SH
  4. Remove the idler pulley shield.
  5. If equipped with air conditioning (A/C), remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt at the generator bracket, if necessary.
  6. Remove the drive belt idler pulley from the generator bracket, if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 742960 Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt idler pulley to the generator bracket, if necessary.
  2. If equipped with A/C, install the drive belt idler pulley bolt at the generator bracket, if necessary.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten drive belt idler pulley bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the idler pulley shield.

    4. Object Number: 741991 Size: SH
  4. Install the drive belt idler pulley to the power steering pump, if necessary.
  5. Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt at the power steering pump, if necessary.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten drive belt idler pulley bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
