Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 816267 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove engine cover to gain access to rear mounts. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  3. Support the transmission with safety stands.
  4. Remove the transmission mount bracket to transmission mount bolt/nuts.
  5. Raise the transmission mount bracket off of the transmission to clear the studs.

  6. If the transmission mount studs attach to the body mount support the body so it does not drop.
  7. Remove the transmission mount bolts/nuts.

    8. Object Number: 816282 Size: SH
  8. Remove the transmission mount.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 816282 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission mount.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 816310 Size: SH
  2. Install the transmission mount nuts and bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission mount nuts/bolts to 160 N·m (118 lb ft).

  3. Remove body support if used.
  4. Lower the transmission mount brackets onto the transmission mount.

    5. Object Number: 816267 Size: SH
  5. Install the transmission mount bracket to transmission mount bolts/nuts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission mount bracket to transmission mount bolts/nuts 195 N·m (144 lb ft).

  6. Remove the safety stands from the transmission.
  7. Install engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
