Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1867258 Size: SH
  1. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
  2. Remove the EGR valve bolts (2).
  3. Remove the EGR valve (3).
  4. Remove and discard the EGR valve gaskets (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1867258 Size: SH
  1. Position the EGR valve (3) to the EGR valve cooler.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the EGR valve bolts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install NEW EGR valve gaskets (1) onto the EGR valve.
  4. Install the EGR valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
