Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2007 🢒 Kodiak C-Series (Conventional) C4/C5 🢒 Body Repair 🢒 Bolted Exterior Body Panels and Closures 🢒 Rear Side Door Upper Hinge and Lower Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedures

    Object Number: 803793 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear door.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    3. Object Number: 828472 Size: SH
  3. Remove the check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 828470 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 4 bolts from the lower door side hinge.
  5. Remove the 4 bolts from the upper door side hinge.
  6. With the aid of an assistant, remove the door.

    7. Object Number: 829952 Size: SH
  7. Remove the screws from the B pillar escution.
  8. Remove the escution.

    9. Object Number: 828470 Size: SH
  9. Remove the mounting bolts which secure the top hinge to the body.
  10. Loosen the alignment bolt from the upper hinge.
  11. Remove the top hinge.
  12. Remove the mounting bolts which secure the lower hinge to the body.
  13. Loosen the alignment bolt from the lower hinge.
  14. Remove the lower hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 828470 Size: SH
  1. Install the lower hinge.
  2. Align the bolt to the lower hinge.
  3. Install the 4 mounting bolts which secure the lower hinge to the body.
  4. Install the top hinge.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Align the bolt to the top hinge.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  6. Install the 4 mounting bolts which secure the top hinge to the body.
  7. With the aid of an assistant, install the door.
  8. Install the 4 bolts to the upper door side hinge.
  9. Install the 4 bolts to the lower door side hinge.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  10. Install the check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement.

    11. Object Number: 829952 Size: SH
  11. Install the escution.
  12. Install the screws to the B pillar escution.

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  13. Connect the electrical connectors.
  14. Close the door.
