Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side C6500/C7500/C8500

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Support the engine using suitable safety stands.
3. Disconnect any engine harness clips or line routing on the engine mount.



4. Remove the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts.
5. Use a suitable engine hoist to lift weight off the engine mounts.



6. Remove the engine mount bracket bolts (1) and nuts (3).
7. Remove the engine mount bracket.

1. Install the engine mount brackets.



2. Install the fasteners in the mandatory sequence.
3. Loose assemble the engine mount brackets to the engine with the bolts (1) and two nuts (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

4. Finger tighten the bolts (1).

Tighten

1. Tighten the nuts (3) to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
2. Tighten the bolts (1) to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
3. Re-tighten the nuts (3) to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
5. Lower the engine on to the engine mounts.



6. Install the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts to 240 N·m (178 lb ft).

7. Connect any engine harness clips or line routing that mount on the engine mount.
8. Remove safety stands and lower the vehicle.

Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side C4500/C5500

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Support the engine using suitable safety stands.
3. Disconnect any engine harness clips or line routing on the engine mount.



4. Remove the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts and nut.
5. Use a suitable engine hoist to lift weight off the engine mounts.



6. Remove the engine mount bracket bolts (1, 2).
7. Remove the engine mount bracket.

1. Install the engine mount brackets.



2. Install the fasteners in the mandatory sequence.
3. Loose assemble the engine mount bracket to the engine with bolts (1) and one nut (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

4. Finger tightened the bolts (1).

Tighten

1. Tighten the nut (3) to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
2. Tighten the bolts (1) to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
3. Re-tighten the nut (3) to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
5. Lower the engine on to the engine mounts.



6. Install the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts.
7. Connect any engine harness clips or line routing that mount on the engine mount.

Tighten
Tighten the engine mount bracket to engine mount bolts to 240 N·m (178 lb ft).

8. Remove safety stands and lower the vehicle.
