Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement Left

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1334380 Size: SH

    Important: After removing the charged air cooler duct, cover the turbocharger opening with tape in order to prevent entry of objects.

  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement in Engine Controls.
  2. Loosen the left charged air cooler inlet duct connector to turbocharger clamp (1).

    3. Important: Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to pry the hose loose. The hose can be torn or damaged. Loosen the hose by twisting.

  3. Remove the left charged air cooler inlet duct connector (4) from the turbocharger.

  4. Loosen the charged air cooler inlet duct clamp at the charged air cooler.
  5. Remove the left charged air cooler inlet duct.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 799719 Size: SH

    Important: Lubricate the end of the duct prior to installation.

  1. Install the charged air cooler inlet duct.
  2. Hand tighten the left charged air cooler inlet duct clamp at the charged air cooler.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1334380 Size: SH

    Important: Lubricate the end of the duct prior to installation.

  3. Install the left charged air cooler outlet duct (4) to the intake.
  4. Tighten the charged air cooler outlet duct to intake hose clamps (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement in Engine Controls.

Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement Right

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement in Engine Controls.

    2. Object Number: 1334381 Size: SH

    Important: Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to pry the hose loose. The hose can be torn or damaged. Loosen the hose by twisting.

  2. Loosen the charged air cooler outlet duct to intake hose clamp.
  3. Remove the charged air cooler outlet duct from the intake.

    4. Object Number: 799718 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the charged air cooler outlet duct clamp at the charged air cooler.
  5. Remove the charged air cooler outlet duct.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 799718 Size: SH

    Important: Lubricate the end of the duct prior to installation.

  1. Install the charged air cooler outlet duct.
  2. Hand tighten the charged air cooler outlet duct clamp at the charged air cooler.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

    Important: Lubricate the end of the duct prior to installation.

  3. Install the charged air cooler outlet duct to the intake.
  4. Tighten the charged air cooler outlet duct to intake hose clamps.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement in Engine Controls.
