J 45666 Air Line Release Tool

1. Drain the air from the air tanks. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Draining .
2. Using the J 45666 , tag and disconnect the air lines from the control valve.



3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the control valve.
4. Remove nuts, washers and control valve from the frame.
5. Note the position of the elbow.
6. Remove the elbow from the control valve.

1. Install the elbow in the correct position.
2. Install the control valve to the frame with the nuts and washers.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the control valve.
4. Connect the air lines to the control valve.
5. Refill air back into the reservoir. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Filling .
6. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Air Brake System Testing .
