Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2005 🢒 Kodiak C-Series Motorhome (Cutaway) C4/C5 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 6.6L (LLY) 🢒 Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
  2. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter. Refer to Water-in-Fuel Draining .
  3. Remove the charged air inlet pipe. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement for the 6.6L (LLY) engine.

    4. Object Number: 674653 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the engine harness main connectors. Lift up on the intake in order to disconnect the connectors.

    5. Object Number: 1334916 Size: SH
  5. Remove the main engine electrical harness connector bolts.

    6. Object Number: 1334948 Size: SH
  6. Remove the main engine electrical harness bracket bolts and remove the bracket.
  7. Reposition the fuel hose clamps.
  8. Remove the fuel hoses.

    9. Object Number: 1334874 Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the fuel filter electrical connectors.

    10. Object Number: 813896 Size: SH
  10. Remove the fuel filter bracket bolts.
  11. Remove the fuel filter assembly.
  12. Remove the fuel filter bracket bolts and bracket from the fuel filter/heater element housing.
  13. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter/heater element housing.
  14. Inspect the fuel filter, replace if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the fuel filter to the fuel filter/heater element housing.

    2. Object Number: 813896 Size: SH
  2. Install the fuel filter bracket and bolts to the fuel filter/heater element housing.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the fuel filter assembly.
  4. Install the fuel filter bracket bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the fuel filter electrical connectors.
  6. Install the fuel hoses.
  7. Position the fuel hose clamps.

    8. Object Number: 1334948 Size: SH
  8. Install the main electrical harness bracket.
  9. Install the main electrical harness bracket bolts.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1334916 Size: SH
  10. Install the main engine electrical harness connector screws.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  11. Connect the engine main electrical connectors.
  12. Install the charge air inlet pipe. Refer to Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement for the 6.6L (LLY) engine.
  13. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
  14. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  15. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat step 14.
  16. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
