Circuit Description

The battery feed circuit, from the PCM B fuse to the serial data gateway module (SDGM), provides power for the SDGM.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is in the RUN position.
    • The voltage on the battery feed circuit must be between 9-16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The SDGM detects the voltage from the battery feed circuit (PCM B fuse) to be out of range for at least 150 milliseconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The SDGM stores DTC B1325 in memory.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • A current DTC B1325 will clear if the SDGM no longer detects the fault.
    • A history DTC B1325 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the malfunction is no longer present

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the Battery Power parameter in the input data list.

Does the scan tool display Present?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 2

Test the battery circuit that does not display Present in the previous step for an open, high resistance, or a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the battery feed circuit of the serial data gateway module (SDGM) for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the SDGM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the SDGM. Refer to Serial Data Gateway Module Replacement .

  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.

Does the DTC reset?

Go to Step 1
