•	Inspect the timing chain sprockets for teeth that are worn (1), broken (2), or chipped (3).

•	Inspect the timing chain for binding or stretching.

•	Inspect the timing chain dampener for excessive wear or cracks.

•	Replace the timing chain and sprockets as needed.
