Removal Procedure

    Important: The ignition switch must be in the OFF position when removing the instrument panel (IP) cluster.

  1. Remove the trim plate bezel from the IP cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws from IP cluster.
  3. Pull the IP cluster towards you and disconnect the electrical connector from the IP cluster .
  4. Remove the IP cluster from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the IP cluster .
  2. Install the IP cluster to the instrument panel.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolts to the IP cluster.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the IP cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  7. If a new instrument cluster was installed, program the cluster using the Tech 2.
