Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 519555  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screws from the instrument panel (IP) compartment.

  2. Object Number: 519493  Size: SH
  3. Open the IP compartment. Disconnect the IP damper cable from the IP compartment tab.
  4. Depress the side stops located on the sides of the IP compartment.
  5. Carefully remove the IP compartment.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 519493  Size: SH
  1. Align the IP compartment to the opening.
  2. Depress the side stops located on the sides of the IP compartment.

    Install the IP compartment to the IP compartment opening.

  3. Connect the IP damper cable to the IP compartment tab.

  4. Object Number: 519555  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the IP compartment screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Close the IP compartment. Verify that the IP compartment is properly aligned. Adjust the compartment as required.
